Darren Sammy: Fans often call Darren Sammy as a local and that has simply to do with the pride that Sammy has shown in representing the team in the PSL, even exhorting others to come to Pakistan to play the game. Of course, his captaincy, batting and bowling alone should be the reasons why he is a player to watch.
Hasan Ali: Fast bowler Hasan Ali’s form has fallen away since the start of the 2018 Asia Cup and some say it could be to do with his shoulder injury. Whatever is the case, Hasan Ali’s presence will remain the key to Pakistan’s chances in the World Cup and he would love to get to that stage with a strong PSL showing.
Kamran Akmal: Wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal might have fallen out of favour with the national selectors but talk of PSL and Kamran is easily one of the best batsmen around. His batting at the top of the order will keep Peshawar Zalmi in the game.
Tom Banton: The Zalmis brought in probably the batsman to watch out, or at least the batsman everyone is looking forward to watch, in the form of Tom Banton. Banton has been in some excellent form in this format of the game and has often reminded everyone of Kevin Pietersen at his best.
